SAP Business One Solution Stack

The SAP Business One Solution Stack

SAP Business One received lots of coverage at this years FKOM events held across all 4 regions and the key themes were consistent.

The new innovations included in the current release of SAP Business One thats now in Ramp Up – Version 8.82 as well as the planned innovations in the roadmap all received coverage and in Asia Pacific we were fortunate enough to have SAP Business One Chief Architect, Gao Peng and Senior Developer, Roger Hu from the SAP Labs China team as our presenters for the session focused on introducing the new innovations for the solution.

These innovations are focused on 4 main areas – the Core of the application and then the 3 additional focus areas, In Memory, Cloud and Mobility with a demonstration of the latest version of the SAP Business One mobile application – Version 1.5 which will be coming to the app store shortly – stay tuned for a new demo video that I am building and should be released later this week.

Partners and SAP team members were also treated to a demonstration of the new SAP Business Analytics powered by SAP HANA as well as the new Cloud Control Centre which will give partners (and customers) a new interface to manage the provisioning and management of SAP Business One, in both public and private clouds.

The good news is that many of these new extensions will be seen in the current release family – Version 8 and Version 9 holds even more exciting features and functional improvements such as Bin Location management with a graphical UI to track and manage stock locations and movements across the bins.

From a Go To Market perspective, 2012 will be around 3 areas – Accelerate, Build and Create – helping partners accelerate their success with additional enablement programs, building new capacity in target markets with recruitment of additional partners where appropriate and creating even more opportunities for partners and customers with the latest solution enhancements and delivery options such as cloud based deployment.

All in all, the feedback I heard from partners was overwhelmingly positive and 2012 looks set to be an even bigger year for SAP Business One.

We’ll be releasing even more detail about all the topic I have covered here over the next quarter with enablement sessions from a product perspective as well as sales and pre-sales training on how to leverage the opportunity presented by the latest release of SAP Business One.

I would love to hear your thoughts on your experience at FKOM and what we can do to maker it even better for you as an SAP Business One partner.
