Cloudy....with more than just a chance of ERP - my new role

Many of you are aware that I made the decision to leave SAP in February of this year to relocate to the United States to take on a new role in the Cloud ERP space and many folks have been asking me which organization I was joining.

Well I am pleased to let you know that I have decided to join Acumatica, the fastest growing global Cloud ERP provider based in Kirkland on the shores of Lake Washington in Seattle.

April 1st (yes, April Fools Day) is my first day on board here at Acumatica and I have joined the team as Vice President – Partner Strategy and Enablement.

Acumatica – The Cloud ERP

What does that title entail? Well basically it continues along my path of helping partners to be more successful albeit now focusing on Acumatica and the whole cloud ERP space.

My role will be to ensure that we are providing our partners (and customers) with the very best and most effective and usable enablement content available around product, sales, pre-sales, marketing and more.

In addition I will be looking after product evangelism (no surprise there) so I’ll be sharing more about Acumatica the product, platform, people and partners that make up our ecosystem.

The exciting aspect of what Acumatica offers is that unlike other players in the ERP space who started off with a product and are now struggling to make it a platform or rebuild for the cloud, Acumatica started as a businesses automation platform back in 2007 built specifically for the cloud and has grown from there to be a fully fledged ERP solution and a platform…the best of both worlds.

So I will continue to blog regularly here on richardduffy.com….but I also invite you to join me at Acumatica.com ….there’s a blog there that goes in to much more detail on why I decided to join Acumatica and what I see is the value for partners, customers and ISV’s that Acumatica has to offer.
